Volunteer Services
Are you interested in joining us as a volunteer for the visually impaired?
The following are the services which we need your help:
- Talking Books Production
- Library Services
- Volunteer Referral Service for Individual Clients
1. Talking Books Production:
Service Nature:
Recording Services for the visually impaired in Hong Kong.
Service Location:
1/F, West Wing, Information Accessibility Centre,
248 Nam Cheong Street,
Shamshuipo, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
Service Hours:
Monday to Friday : 8:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m
Criteria:
F.5 or above; patient and responsible; applicants must pass a reading test.
2. Library Services:
Service Nature:
Routine Library Work: Assist with books borrowing / returning and book shelving.
Service Location:
2/F, West Wing, Information Accessibility Centre,
248 Nam Cheong Street, Shamshuipo, Kowloon
Service Hours:
Monday to Friday : 8:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Saturday : 8:45 a.m. -12:30 p.m.
Criteria:
(1) F.5 or above;
(2) Computer knowlegde;
(3) Patient and responsible.
Service Nature:
Depends on the requirements of individual client which includes recording,
reading, tutoring and escorting etc.
Location and Service Hours:
In accordance with the requirements of the client.
Criteria: Initiative, kind and responsible.
